Whether you have a pet or not, we invite you to our next contest, Paint A Pet. Students in grades 2-8 are called to participate for a chance to win. Kids can paint their own pet, a pet they hope to have, or a pet that is waiting adoption, (we’re suggesting petfinder.com for this contest).
Studies show that having a pet can improve the health and well being of the owner. Also, there are many animals who are in need of a home. We invite you to have fun making art around this theme as well as exploring the importance of pet ownership for people, young and old.
This contest is open to residents in the following counties: Cobb, Fulton, Dekalb, Douglas.
Student artists in grades 2-8 can submit work.
Must be a real animal that is considered a pet. A zebra, for example, is a wild animal or a zoo animal and therefore, not a pet. Sorry, no fantasy animals. We’ll save that for another contest. :)
If you use petfinder.com to paint a pet you must include it’s complete name and location.
All art needs to be on a 5x7 art board or heavy weight art paper.
Signatures must be small and on the lower right.
Register after artwork is finished. While registering, make sure info on the back side of your art matches registration info. On the back of your art you will need: Full Name, Grade, Title of art, Medium used.
